Life is turned upside down for a planet of aliens in the animated film ‘Planet 51.’ Released on DVD by Sony Pictures in 2010, this hilarious film follows the life of a teenage alien named Lem on Planet 51. One day while attempting to get the girl of his dreams, he encounters a human astronaut. Taught that the humans are zombie-like monsters, Lem obviously freaks out. However, the human really isn’t scary and just wants to plant a flag on the planet. In an attempt to keep the events quiet, Lem makes a hasty decision to help the human get back to his spaceship. Unfortunately, this task is far more difficult than he realized. Directed by Jorge Blanco, this 91-minute film is rated PG for intense sci-fi scenes.
