Product Information The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active SM-G870A is a smartphone developed by Samsung in order to meet demand for a rugged phone capable of surviving in adverse environments. This phone is linked to the nationwide AT&T network. In an effort to enable athletes, hunters, and other outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy their AT&T LTE service in remote areas, Samsung modified the standard Samsung Galaxy S5 to be more able to withstand adverse conditions and to have a longer battery life. With its green camo, gray or ruby red exterior, and thick exterior, the Galaxy S5 Active offers all the power and capability of a standard Samsung Galaxy S5 while being especially suited for unfavorable environments. Indeed, it has both full MIL-STD-810G and full IP67 certification, giving it a high rating for its proven ability to withstand dust, dirt, and water.The Samsung Galaxy is based on the Quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor. It was chosen to give the Active the maximum amount of battery life from the 2800 mAh lithium-ion battery, which lasts for up to 29 hours worth of use on a single charge. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset and the Adreno 330 GPU were also chosen for their high efficiency and low power draw. The Galaxy has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage and can take microSD cards of up to 128GB for generous additional storage space. Bluetooth connectivity enables the phone to connect up to four accessories simultaneously. A standard 3.5 mm phone jack is also provided. The system can receive A-GPS and GLONASS GPS signals. This mobile tech also has an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass, and heart rate sensors. The Active has a Wi-Fi antenna and can also serve as a wireless hotspot for cell phones, smartphones, and other devices.The screen of the device is made of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for increased strength.
